About the Artist

Jewelry designer, Alison Kjelland, originally from Lougheed, Alberta, now resides in St. Albert, Alberta. It is no doubt that she was born to bead!

Alison makes glass beads through a process called lampworking. (See Lampworking page to learn more about this process). Alison has been on the torch since 2007. She shops all over the world for gemstones. She started out her adult life teaching, and then jewelry found her, and the rest is history.

"I am inspired by simple shapes, lines and colour. I like modern, sleek designs and love the brilliance of different colour combinations. Each piece has its own unique personality, and a vibrant energy. I combine my passion for unique and beautiful objects to create jewelry using combinations of glass with other gemstones and metals from all over the world. I pride myself on having a variety of styles that appeal to everyday women. I love it when people love my art as much as I do. It is always my pleasure to have a favorite piece go to a good home.
